Reading
• An evening with Hengameh Yaghoobifarah

Date: 24.04.2025
Time: 19:30
On this evening we cordially invite you to a reading with author Hengameh Yaghoobifarah and the new novel Schwindel. Description text from the publisher's website (aufbau-verlage.de/blumenbar): “Friday night, a high-rise building, 15th floor. Ava's date with Robin is going perfectly. Until the doorbell rings and two unexpected guests appear at the door: Delia has left her cell phone in Ava's bedroom and wants to come and get it. Silvia wants to confront Ava because she's been ghosted for a while. The three lovers meet for the first time in Ava's hallway. Overwhelmed, Ava flees to the roof of the tower block and the others run after her. In their haste, no one brings the key or a cell phone. So a date for two turns into a joint mission for four. The goal: to get down from the roof. But the way there is fraught with conflict and revelations. Robin, Delia and Silvia fight for Ava's closeness and attention in their very own way... In “Vertigo”, Hengameh Yaghoobifarah tells of queer desire in a fluid, genuine and funny way that no one else can. An uncompromisingly contemporary love story of radical liveliness and a crazy pleasure to read.”
Moderation: Sara (Samson) Grzybek (no pronouns), founder and managing director of the non-profit organization Queermed Deutschland.
