About the Book:
In their latest masterpiece, Luksan Wunder unleash two of their core strengths: music and wildly unleashed imagination. Not only do they hilariously parody the tone and tropes of essayistic pop criticism, but it’s quite likely they invented large parts of this “possible” pop history completely — and maybe even wrote, sang, and produced most of the songs and music videos linked in the book themselves. Their alternative history of German pop music is a deeply detailed and lovingly absurd creation full of clever references, bizarre causalities, hilariously bad puns, and brimming with outrageous artist personas and wild theories. A pure joy for music nerds and fans of eccentric comedy and satire alike.
About the Live Reading Show:
The live show of this “possible history of pop music” is a multimedia reading experience filled with music, visuals, and video. Through different musical genres, the audience is guided through the alternate universe of Luksan Wunder’s pop mythology. Expect to see possibly real, possibly fake band photos, album covers, interviews with “eyewitnesses of the time,” and sensational performances by aging music stars (who, strangely enough, all look a bit similar).
